Successful IWTO exhibit at Heimtextil 2011

Architects and interior designers show high interest in wool for interior textiles for its versatile advantages at Heimtextil 2011.
IWTO was present at this year’s Heimtextil 2011 in Frankfurt presenting itself within the exhibition area of AIT, the leading professional magazine on architecture, interior design and technical solutions. The exhibition area was a very popular meeting point for architects and interior designers. Within this creative environment IWTO took the opportunity to get in direct contact with the target groups informing them about wool’s advantages in regards to architecture and interior design. IWTO experienced that a lot of interior designers already favoured wool and were looking for new inspirational wool products they could work with in the future e.g. in the area of noise reduction and fire safety. The first introduction of the soon to be published book on ‘Wool in Architecture and Interior Design’ was another highlight at the IWTO stand.
The international trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil, was held in Frankfurt/Germany from 12.01-15.01. 2011.
Emerging from the U.N. Year of Natural Fibres 2009 the Discover Natural Fibres Initiative supported by IWTO is a worldwide campaign to promote the use of natural fibres through education about their benefits both to the wearer as well as the environment as a whole.
