Grower Meeting

The Grower Meeting is an international forum for grower countries who are members of IWTO. Members of the Grower Meeting recognize the importance of communicating with each other and exchanging information on an international level.

Specific activities carried out by the Grower meeting:

  • Meet annually at the IWTO Congress to discuss joint topics and issues of concern
  • Propose projects that IWTO should carry out on behalf of the industry
  • Participate in consultation processes related to wool growing
  • Seek to address any barriers (or potential barriers) to the export of wool from producer countries

Specific topics covered by the Grower Meeting: 

  • Sheep flock development programmes
  • Environmental impacts affecting wool growing (floods, droughts, predators, etc.)
  • Risks posed to exports by disease outbreaks
