After a successful event, the doors of the 78th IWTO Congress in the city of Frankfurt have been closed on Thursday, 18th of June. The event ran under the theme "Wool - Smart, Natural, Technical" highlighting the diversity of wool applications and it's sustainability.

After a successful event, the doors of the 78th IWTO Congress in the city of Frankfurt have been closed on Thursday, 18th of June.
In difficult times as we are currently experiencing, the Congress was even more important to meet with colleagues, customers and suppliers to keep in contact with the markets. Updates where given on the latest innovation and developments of wool and the wool textiles sector, with special focus on Technical Textiles, and the wool sector’s strategy on marketing and market access have been shaped.
Emerging from the U.N. Year of Natural Fibres 2009 the Discover Natural Fibres Initiative supported by IWTO is a worldwide campaign to promote the use of natural fibres through education about their benefits both to the wearer as well as the environment as a whole.
