IWTO launches new networking event format at Première Vision 2011 for fibre industry members and welcomes Sylvia Phua, Project Director of ITMA 2011 and Chief Executive Officer of MP International Pte Ltd
Summary
During this year’s industry gathering at Premiere Vision 2011 in Paris, the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) is inviting to its first IWTO Industry Briefing on February 8, 2011. The newly established networking event format is an opportunity for fibre industry members to gain useful information about industry partners and future business events. Sylvia Phua together with Evelyne Cholet, Secretary General of Union des Constructeurs de Matériel Textile de France (UCMTF), one of the nine national associations of CEMATEX, will share useful insights about the world’s largest international textile and garment machinery exhibition to be held in Barcelona from 22 to 29 September 2011. In addition, IWTO representatives will give an update on current topics and issues followed by a networking opportunity over drinks and snacks.
As a background, Première Vision is one of the important fabric shows for the textile industry and is held in Paris from 08-10 February 2011.
Emerging from the U.N. Year of Natural Fibres 2009 the Discover Natural Fibres Initiative supported by IWTO is a worldwide campaign to promote the use of natural fibres through education about their benefits both to the wearer as well as the environment as a whole.
