At frequent intervals, IWTO is holding the popular “Feature Wool!” event, offering young designers the opportunity to present their work with wool to interested audiences.
Project Description
IWTO offers “publicity” to young active designers from around the world with its project Feature Wool!
Feature Wool! presents works of young talented designers at international exhibitions.
The project’s aim is to strengthen the focus and the visibility of wool and wool blends among international professional designers and to support their career pathways and encourage the exchange of ideas between the designers and the rest of the textile pipeline.
The stalls at the exhibitions provide publicity to the selected designers. The design of the stalls is composed in a way that each designer is able to expose his works and creations in wool.
Emerging from the U.N. Year of Natural Fibres 2009 the Discover Natural Fibres Initiative supported by IWTO is a worldwide campaign to promote the use of natural fibres through education about their benefits both to the wearer as well as the environment as a whole.
