Organisation
The IWTO structure is divided into a Supply Chain part and a Demand Chain part, covering the complete pipeline of the wool textile process.
The Supply Chain Committees are analysing and permanently updating after the technical and commercial bases of the wool textile supply chain, the Demand Chain Committees are analysing and interpreting the different markets for wool. In the Supply meets Demand Zone (SMD) both parts are sharing and discussing their analyses and respectively providing the directions of the wool industry for both parts. The Market Intelligence Committee is supporting the Supply and the Demand side with permanent updates and analysis about world wide markets relevant to our industry.

Emerging from the U.N. Year of Natural Fibres 2009 the Discover Natural Fibres Initiative supported by IWTO is a worldwide campaign to promote the use of natural fibres through education about their benefits both to the wearer as well as the environment as a whole.
