“Classic and contemporary. Folk painting into the modern”

The author was inspired by kimono designs and folk paintings in traditional Japanese crafts, in which a lot of beautiful motifs are used. Among those, pine trees, mountains and clouds produce a deep impression. Its colourful ethnic motifs are very elegant although they were produced in ancient times.

In her product the author simplified and transformed the shape of pine trees, mountains and clouds into wave motifs and simple figures in order to express image of mysterious clouded mountains. In terms of choosing purple, plum and gold brown colours, these crate mysterious and luxurious mood to the swatches and blue and green colours give bright and airy impression. She has brought old oriental images into contemporary giving a final image of mixed old and new.

The design can be used as part of ladies’ vests, skirts and as a part bulging outline of shoulder. Made of thin delicate wool and wool blends it is intended for casual wear.
