"A gentleman's Game"

 |
Coming out of observational starting points
of an old abbey the author uses the textural qualities from the stone
work, worn wooden doors and stained glass windows and interprets these
into tweeds and tartans, usually associated with the typical English
gentleman, applying traditional colours. For an innovative twist the
author designed the fabrics for a womenswear collection, in particular
jackets. Through the use of a variety of wool and wool blends, she was
able to produce a range of fabrics, which reflect the subtle qualities
of the paperwork. The final collection is a range of womenswear
autumn/winter fabrics for high fashion.
